Here at WBC we are really excited to have a Vision to 'extend our tent' as we grow together as a fellowship.  As part of that vision we have a building project, currently underway, to extend and enhance our premises in order to be able to continue the work the Lord has given to us and expand our ministries in the future.  Please see the drawings - /Publisher/File.aspx?ID=304366

If you would like to give to this specific part of the vision, envelopes are available at the exit for your gift, or if you would like to make a donation by BACS, please ensure that it is marked 'BUILDING FUND'.  If you would like further information speak to a member of the Leadership Team.

Planning your Visit

New to Church?

Welcome! Whether you've just moved to the area, or have lived here all your life,  been attending church for years or have never stepped foot in one, we hope our website helps you to find out everything you would like to know about WBC.

Key information about the church...

Where & when does the church meet?

Our Church meets every Sunday at 10:30am for our Sunday Service.   There is limited parking but there is plenty of local free parking on Sundays
We meet at:
Wymondham Baptist Church
Queen Street
Wymondham
Norfolk NR18 0AY

You can see a map on our contact us page

What should I expect when I visit the church?

You will receive a very warm greeting from us. Our dedicated welcome team will be able to answer your questions and direct you to where you need to go. A member of the Leadership Team is also on hand to help with any queries.  There will be approximately 45 mins of singing with opportunity for church members to pray or read a passage from the Bible. There will be teaching from one of the leaders at the Church with a chance to respond at the end of the service.

Tea, coffee and biscuits (and sometimes cake) are served after the service when there is plenty of time to meet new people and ask more questions.  During the period of our building project we will not have access to our kitchen, so will be unable to offer refreshments as usual, however, please spend time after the service to share in fellowship together.

How are the children  and youth involved at church?

We have  fantastic programmes for the youth at WBC, for:

Creche (3 months - pre-school). Children under 3 months are welcome but must be accompanied by their parent/carer at all times.
Ignite (reception - year 6)
T4:12 ( Year 7 - year 11)

Children stay with their parents at the start of the service as we worship (sing songs!) together for the first part of the morning. Someone will announce when the children need to go to their programme. At the end of the service the group leaders will ensure you have your children.

For more information about what happens in the children's work please visit the relevant age groups for you under church life.

Is there a dress code?

No! Please just be yourself and come dressed in your 'normal' clothes.

Will I have to join in?

Not at all! You are free to simply observe or participate as much as feels comfortable for you.
