On the 17th May Trish (and friend) are holding a fund raising event in the church to support the charity ‘Chernobyl Attic Babies’. There are two ways to support this charity, one is to attend the event on the 17th (between 10am to 2pm), or/and you might want to donate items for sale. If you do donate items they can’t accept electircal items or clothes (except baby-grows) and items must be clean and in good condition.

On the 5th July the church has been booked for a Day of African Music and Dance by the organisers of Wymondham Music Festival. My understanding of the day is that there will be workshops and teaching during the day followed by a concert in the evening lead by Anna Mudeka and her band.

I don’t know whether there will be a cost to go along but it does sound like a really good event. It will also be an opportunity for people of Wymondham to visit our church, see where we are and I am sure we will be able to leave some leaflets laying around. Why not come along?

As some of you will know on Saturday 1st some of us spent a great time in Wymondham giving away free daffodils to the ladies in the town. This was in recognition of the very important role women play in our world and of course the fact that Mothers Day was the day after.

We were greeted with a range of responses from ‘thank you very much, these are lovely’, through to ‘NO’. In fact on a couple of occasions people tried to give us money!

As a church we would want to do more activities like this, so if you have any ideas please let us know.
