Helen wrote:“This time we reviewed ‘The End of The Affair’ by Graham Green. I personally found this book a bit tiresome. Whilst it was not a difficult read I did get to the end of it and wonder what exactly it was all about. I found the style in which it was written very dated and it just didn’t have the pace I would like. I didn’t like any of the characters in the book and formed no attachment to any of them - I just didn’t care enough about what happened to them. I gave this book a rating of 4 out of 10.”

The End of the Affair was a book that sent me to sleep. I’m sure it must have been a great book when it was 1st published it’s just that I found the style too labourious to enjoy

I’d love to Thorpey, but I fear the stocks and a basket of rotten tomatoes in the WBC garden.
Some people just do not know the value of accurate information…!
