- We read a book (preferably we all read the same book
- it helps facilitate point 4)
- We meet every four to eight weeks (depending on the
size of that book)
- We drink and eat stuff (coffee, tea, wine and crisps
usually, and not always at the same time. Sometimes we get daring
and introduce the odd box of chocolates)
- We talk about the book (hopefully not with our mouths
full of coffee, tea, wine, chocolate and crisps - we have a new sofa
you see
)
- We score the book (out of ten, although Id suggested
out of a hundred because its more accurate but I just got laughed
at and bombarded with Kettle Chips)
- We each nominate a new book (can be anything - popular
sellers, literary classics, biographies - but please no Chaucer, Katie
Price or Tibetan poetry. They all make me feel slightly nauseous).
Then we vote and the one with the most votes - surprise surprise -
is the one we read next!
- We dispel into our communities a little more wiser,
well read and vowing never to eat another Guilyan sea shell.
Reviews and upcoming news concerning books will be posted
